1,120 ftThe town

The Historical City, still working.

Kings Mountain was White Plains until 1874, when it incorporated and took the name of the Revolutionary War battle fought about five miles south, just over the South Carolina line. The railroad came first: the Charlotte-Atlanta Air Line laid its track through here in 1872, and W.A. Mauney opened the first store, ran the first post office and built the first cotton mill.

Textiles carried the town for generations. Today Interstate 85 and US 74 cross the city, four industrial parks have joined the old mill villages, and the city runs its own gas, electric, water and sewer. Customers find local businesses from a break room, a job site or a truck at the exit ramp, usually on a phone. A Kings Mountain search also pulls in companies from Gastonia, Bessemer City and Gaffney, so a clear, quick site matters.

1,360 ftHow it works

A switchback trail, not a cliff.

Five legs from the first call to launch. Each one has a clear end point, so you always know where the project stands.

  1. Leg 1 of 5

    Trailhead call

A short phone call about what you sell, who buys it and which jobs you'd like more of. Roger shares what he spotted on your current site and Google listing before you commit to anything.

  2. Leg 2 of 5

    Map the route

Roger plans the pages around searches people in Kings Mountain actually make, and decides where your reviews, photos and licenses do the most good.

  3. Leg 3 of 5

    The climb

Writing, design and code, all by hand. Every form is tested on the live server before the first draft reaches you.

  4. Leg 4 of 5

    Your review

You get the finished draft to look over, with three rounds of changes included. The second half of the build fee is due when the site is delivered for review.

  5. Leg 5 of 5

    Summit

Launch day. Search Console is connected, hosting begins and future edits are one text or email away.

1,480 ftPricing

Three camps, three prices.

A fixed build fee plus monthly hosting and care. The one thing we quote separately is monthly SEO, because the effort depends on your trade and your competition.

1,700 ftQuestions

Asked at the trailhead.

Is your office in Kings Mountain?

No. We work out of Mooresville, NC, roughly an hour's drive away. Most projects run smoothly by phone, email and screen share, and Roger is glad to drive over when sitting down together would help.

How soon can a new site go live?

A Base camp (Starter) site usually takes about a week, Ridge (Growth) about two and Summit (Custom) about three. The biggest variable is how quickly photos and feedback come back.

Who owns the finished website?

Your business does. The domain, the words, the photos and the pages all belong to you. We host it so it stays fast and secure.

Will you guarantee I rank first on Google?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. We promise honest, consistent work and straight answers about what is and isn't moving.

More detail lives on the website design, Google Business Profile and hosting pages.

Ready to start the climb?

Give Roger the short version of what you do and who buys it. He'll size up your web presence and answer with frank suggestions and a price on paper.
